The sarcophagus of Christian IV

Chr. IV
For many centuries the tombs of Danish Kings and Queens are in Roskilde Cathedral. In the coming days some of the sarcophagi will be shown at the blog. Here it is the sarcophagus of Chr. IV (1588-1648).

    Splendid photo – I have never visited Denmark and don't know much about your country's history so I really enjoyed browsing through your blog and seeing such remarkable works of art as this one.
